WHO ARE WE?
At Nature Squared, our master craftsmen and women transform natural, sustainable materials into breathtaking and luxurious objects utilising valuable heritage skills rarely seen in modern production settings.
We are Swiss-based with our main production facilities in the Philippines. Our 200 employees are a blend of highly skilled artisans, engineers, draftsmen, chemists and project managers.
The unique materials we source from Mother Nature originate from Asia, Africa and Europe. And it’s thanks to Mother Nature that we have access to a plethora of elements including eggshell, seeds, bark, tropical seashells, precious stones and exotic feathers. Everything we use in our products is sustainably sourced, either as by-products of other processes or as natural ‘leftovers’.
There are two main Nature Squared product ranges: Interior Collections and our Bespoke Service. Interior Collections includes furniture, mirrors and wall panels, while our Bespoke Service can create almost anything you can imagine: pens, ceilings, lighting, flooring, bathtubs or car fittings. Originally known for fitting out superyachts and private jets, our penchant for super-luxe finishes continues to this day.
A VIP EXPERIENCE
This year, we’re excited to be working with Two’s Company at the Independent Hotel Show in London on 15th-16th October. An important event for the independent hotel sector, we’re there to help create the ultimate luxury experience, by transforming our surfaces into high-end furniture for the show’s VIP suite. Our bar front and tables will be on display throughout the suite, enhancing the sophisticated ambience at the event and encouraging guests to the suite to take a moment to relax and appreciate their stylish surroundings.
The concept of sustainability was – as ever –high on our list of priorities when Two’s Company’s discussed their vision for the VIP suite. Luxury usually takes priority over sustainability but with our production techniques, we’re able to blend them together in perfect harmony. Two’s Company design concept for the suite incorporated bold colours and an Art Deco theme, which we knew our style would complement perfectly.
MOTHER NATURE AT HER FINEST
The bar front is visible on entering the suite and creates immediate impact. Created from mother of pearl shells, our craftsmen have employed a never-seen-before hand-texturing technique. The result is visually and texturally extraordinary. We source these shells from Pacific pearl farms as natural wastage at the end of an oyster’s productive life. Each shell has been hand-textured, individually, and then inlaid onto the bar front with a metallic coating.
Our table tops have been crafted using guinea fowl and pheasant feathers; both are part of our current range of surfaces and are available in standard colours as well as custom colours and bespoke designs. We source our guinea fowl feathers from France and our pheasant feathers from England, both from food producers who would otherwise discard them. By incorporating them into our luxury surfaces, nothing is wasted.
When we receive the feathers, they are sorted, cleaned and dyed at our factory in the Philippines. Once prepared, our craftsmen take over. The process requires meticulous attention to detail and can take weeks to complete one table top. When they are ready, we add a protective seal which protects the feathers but still allows you to enjoy their lustrous texture.

PARTNERING WITH ALROYS
While we are specialists in creating uniquely beautiful surfaces, the bases for the tables were a separate challenge and one that could only be met by an expert in metal fabrication. Our collaboration with Alroys, a Hertfordshire sheet metal and fabrication company, made perfect sense.
Their experience in the sector combined with their design flair was – for us – unbeatable. The sophisticated, ultra-modern metal bases they created are an impeccable foil for our table tops and their engineering knowledge was invaluable in helping us to create tables which looked fabulous and were functionally stable.
